What is going on in the housing market?

There has been alot of media attention recently focusing on the real estate market.   It is true, home prices, on average have fallen, and it is taking a bit longer then normal to sell a home.  However, now is a wonderful opportunity to move up in the housing market as well as to enter the housing market. 

If you are a first time homebuyer, good news!  Interest rates are the lowest they've been in decades, and home prices are at a point where they are more affordable.  Yes, it is possible to own a home that will cost you less then rent!

If you are thinking about "moving up" now is the time.  That bigger home that you may have been thinking about buying in your future has probably come down in price over the last while, making now an excellent time.

Don't wait until the spring market, when real estate is at its peak to sell your house.  If you wait until then, there will be an over abundance of homes on the market, all competing for those buyers out there.
