| ""The Toronto Real Estate Board reported 6,318 sales of single-family dwellings in August 2008 and is ending on a steady pace, stated TREB President Maureen O'Neil.In the 905 area code, sales were at 3,881, down from 4,816 this time last year and down 9% from August, 2006. Overall, in the Toronto Real Estate Market, which includes as far north as Tosorontio, as far east as Newcastle and as far west to Milton and Burlington and all communities bordering on Lake Ontario, overall prices increased marginally up 1% to $364,886 from $361,890 from last August and up 8% from August, 2006. |
